Richmond Jewish Day School (RJDS) is currently accepting applications for a BC certified Upper Grades Judaics teacher for the 2017-2018 school year.
The candidate RJDS seeks will demonstrate a commitment to Judaism and Ivrit, and exhibit the desire to help students reach their true potential. Academic training in Judaic Studies and fluency in Hebrew is required. Fluency in weekday and Shabbat tefillot, and the ability to teach Tanach, laws and customs is required. Comfort with the use of technology in the classroom is a plus. A passion for teaching coupled with strong classroom management should be evident in the classroom. This half-time upper grades position includes teaching as well as some involvement in school-wide activities.
RJDS is well known for its warmth and caring for each student. Qualified applicants with strong interpersonal skills, who are able to work with staff members across grade levels, as well as subject areas, will be welcomed into the RJDS family.
